Kadokawa Marketing Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), host of Japan's preeminent ramen information and review site, Ramen Walker , has placed an order with Obun Printing (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President: Ryushi Wada) for on-demand printing of thirteen regional editions of their nationally sold Ramen Walker 2011 publication. This marks the company's first use of on-demand printing. Sales of these regional editions began today (December 15, 2010).

The thirteen regions are: Fukui, Nara, Wakayama, Tottori, Shimane, Yamaguchi, Kagawa, Ehime, K?chi, Oita, Saga, Nagasaki, and Okinawa.

The company elected to go with on-demand printing to reach areas where the costs of a conventionally printed high-quality moderately-priced journal are considered prohibitive. The new editions add to an existing base of 36 regularly printed editions (including 4 Tokyo-area editions), extending coverage to 47 distinct areas.
