Today, digitalization and networking are actively used in all stages of print production: manuscript preparation, typesetting, and submission to the printer. But the overall process itself is not automated, and humans still remain very busy within and between each of these stages.

At Obun, we are working toward full automation. To this end, we have successfully developed a server-based typesetting system that receives digital data over the Internet and carries out typesetting work automatically. The customer supplies the data, selects the templates, and adjusts various settings, and the server handles the rest. We are also developing a web ordering system that allows entire orders to be defined and completed through our websites. We are already offering these services for business card production and blog binding, and we shall significantly expand the range of applications as we move ahead.
